Barangay Ginebra truly is the most adored team in the Philippine Basketball Association.
It showed after the tandem of Japeth Aguilar and Scottie Thompson are hot off the gates, leading the initial balloting for fan votes for the 2024 PBA All-Star game in Bacolod.
Coming in as No. 1 is Aguilar who has tallied a total of 24,372 votes since balloting procedure began last 3 December.
Thompson is running second with 17,328 votes.
Last year in Iloilo, Aguilar and Thompson also emerged as the top fan favorites which earned them the right to captain the two teams in Passi City.
Team Japeth prevailed over Team Scottie, 140-136 in that edition.
Three more Barangay Ginebra players made it to the Top 5 list with Christian Standhardinger (15,400), LA Tenorio (15,390) and Jamie Malonzo (15,014).
