Meralco eyes to return the favor on Jeremy Lin and the visiting New Taipei Kings when it makes its homestand in the East Asia Super League today at the Philsports Arena in Pasig City.

The Bolts fight for dear life in the race for one of the two semifinals berths at stake in Group B at 7 p.m.

Revenge is in the eyes of Meralco against the unbeaten Kings, who handed the Bolts a 97-92 defeat in their first encounter at the New Taipei Xinzhuang gymnasium a month ago.

Meralco lumbers at the bottom of Group B with a 1-3 win-loss record while Taipei sports a 2-0 mark.

Lin will be a marked man as the 35-year-old former National Basketball Association player did most of the damage in their first meeting with 25 points and seven assists.

The Bolts will also need to slow down imports Kenny Manigault and Hayden Blankley.

Manigault dropped a monster double-double of 19 points and 11 rebounds laced with six assists while Blankley torched Meralco with 15 markers including nine from the three-point area.

The Taipei Kings arrived in the country on Tuesday and had their practice at the Philsports Arena shortly after.

Meralco fell short in its first home game the last time, losing to the Seoul SK Knights, 80-81, also at the same Pasig venue.

Zach Lofton will be leading the Bolts’ charge as he also seeks payback after seeing his 35-point including 6-of-13 from beyond the arc debut go to waste in their first meeting.
