Choco Mucho added veteran hitter Royse Tubino to reinforce its weapons at the wing spot for the coming 2024 Premier Volleyball League firing off on 17 February.
The Flying Titans welcomed their fourth major recruit in the offseason through their social media account on Monday.
Tubino transferred to the Dante Alinsunurin-mentored squad after seeing action for PLDT last year.
The 31-year-old outside hitter joined fellow former High Speed Hitter spiker Mean Mendrez, ex-F2 Logistics setter Mars Alba and Cignal transferee Bia General as the new acquisitions for Choco Mucho.
The University of Perpetual Help System Dalta will give the Flying Titans extra firepower to help holdovers Sisi Rondina and Kat Tolentino in their quest for a breakthrough league crown after drawing close in the season-ending 2nd All-Filipino Conference last year.
Her presence will also give Choco Mucho experience and a strong leader inside the court.
Tubino, a three-time National Collegiate Athletic Association champion, averaged nine points per game in her last tournament with PLDT.
Choco Mucho is coming off a successful campaign in the previous tournament where it finished runner-up to powerhouse sister team Creamline.
The Flying Titans, however, parted ways with middle blocker Bea De Leon, opposite spiker Caitlin Viray, and libero Denden Lazaro-Revilla after the 2023 season.
De Leon and Revilla switched to the Cool Smashers’ side while Viray joined Farm Fresh.
