JGFP Interschool ‘wars’ rage at Eagle Ridge

Both JHS and SHS divisions will be played Saturday before the final rounds on 27 and 28 January at Eagle Ridge Norman course for JHS and Aoki course for SHS.

The Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines junior and senior high school divisions resume Saturday at Eagle Ridge Golf and Country Club with Precious Zaragosa and Tristan Padilla trying to hold on to their respective leads.

Learning Links Academy’s Zaragosa is at the helm in the girls’ individual JHS Championship Division following last week’s round held at Caliraya Springs, while De La Salle Santiago Zobel School’s Tristan Padilla is the leader in the boys’ side.

Zobel maintains the lead in the Championship Team Division with 590 points, leading Ateneo de Manila University Team 1 (566), Xavier School Team 1 (553), Homeschool Global (466), Immaculate Conception Academy (488), International School Manila (445), Xavier 2 (425), Xavier 3 (336), La Salle Greenhills (307) and British School Manila (284) in the top 10.

With 194 points Zaragosa tows along Letran Calamba’s Levonne Talion (180), Homeschool Global’s Kendra Garingalao (162) and Alessandra Luciano (154) and Saint Pedro Poveda College’s Tiffany Bernardino (148) in the girls’ top five.

Joining Padilla (206) in the boys’ top five are teammate Rafael Leonio (202), Rajah Crisostomo and Felix Saludar of Ateneo (200 and 189, respectively), and Bien Luis Fajardo of Mary Help of Christian College (183).

Top five in Girls’ Developmental individual race are ICA’s Siwoo Lee (101), Amanda Dy (99), Brianna Hontiveros (90) and Juliana Ong (89) and Zobel’s Maven Dominique Pallasigui (60).

Xandrei David of Ateneo is leader in Boys Developmental individual with 120 points, while teammate Jared Junsay (116), Mattie Aquino of Paref Southridge School (111), Joachim Andreas Cadena of Zobel (109) and Javier Villavicencio of Xavier (101) and Rodrigo Lim of BSM (101) rounding out the top five.

Ateneo 1 takes the lead in the Team Developmental top 10 with 308 points, followed by Zobel 2 (287), ICA 2 (274), Xavier (266), Ateneo 2 (223), Zobel 1 (220), ICA 1 (197), Ateneo 3 (183), BSM (171) and Everest School (68).
