World-rated super-bantamweight Carl Jammes Martin will be “off and running to the United States” the moment he receives his visa, MP Promotions president Sean Gibbons said on Friday.

The southpaw Martin, undefeated in 23 fights with 18 knockouts, signed a promotional agreement with the Manny Pacquiao-owned outfit.

Gibbons has lined up three fights in America for Martin, the hard-hitting Ifugao native whose last fight in December was a smashing knockout of Thai Chaiwat Buatkrathok.

If Martin stays on track, Gibbons will position him for a world title shot in 2025, a timetable that fits into the fighter’s plans.

Martin is rated No. 4 by the International Boxing Federation and No. 5 by the World Boxing Organization.

Gibbons, who has been largely responsible for the series of world title opportunities of Filipino boxers the last several years, feels the all-important document should be delivered in a month’s time.

Meanwhile, Martin, who turns 25 in May, remains in training mode up north.

Apart from Martin, also under the MP Promotions banner are former unified super-bantamweight king Marlon Tapales, Jerwin Ancajas, Vincent Astrolabio, Reymart Gaballo, Jade Bornea, Jonas Sultan and Tokyo Olympic bronze medalist Eumir Marcial.

Majority of them are based in Las Vegas where Gibbons operates a gym that also houses some of the fighters.
