Alex Eala picked up her first title in 2024 as she and Darja Semenistaja of Latvia etched a 7-6, 6-3 win over Naiktha Bains of the United Kingdom and Hungary’s Fanny Stollar in the final of the W50 Pune in India Saturday evening.

This is a sweet win for Eala after an early exit in the Australian Open qualifying round earlier this month.

The 18-year-old Rafa Nadal Academy graduate will set her sights on the W50 Indore from 29 January to 4 February.

Then, she will compete in the Mubadala Abu Dhabi Open set from 3 to 11 February at the International Tennis Centre in Zayed Sports City in the United Arab Emirates.
