Outdoor sports and the so-called weekend sports athletes brought to a successful close the Watsons Health and Wellness Expo, the four-day event that focused on getting more people into sports, fitness and healthy living.

The Philippine Trail Running Association kicked off the last day of the expo with a segment on getting people into outdoor sports, testing and pushing themselves to the limit, or simply keeping a healthy lifestyle with proper medical guidance and health supplements.

“Thank you Watsons for this healthy and wellness expo,” said Tin Ferrera, president of the trail running association. “This event is beneficial not only to those who want to keep healthy but especially to us in trail running.”

Meanwhile, the Spartan Ravens ignited the audience’s interest to try the spartan challenge, as joining the Obstacle Course Races benefits the body and it is the growing community of Spartan racers that can attest the gaining popularity of this sport.

“Even though we’re going at each other’s throats, the best thing about it is that we get to enjoy the journey together,” said Paolo Tomacruz of Team Spartan Ravens.

Having done the Spartan race for almost two years now, Paolo recommends to drink supplement vitamins, good sleep and exercise are recommended for those doing the Spartan races.

Watsons also capped-off the biggest health and wellness expo of the country with a bang as it featured multiple talks and activities on health and wellness, still of course with their exhilarating lineup of activities, overflowing prizes, and Philippine celebrities that graced the biggest health and wellness expo in the country.

Philippine Society for Medical Oncology Society also discussed their “Multi Disciplinary Treatment for Cancer Patients” while Philippine Urological Association highlighted the significance of “Men’s Health Awareness” which is a topic rarely discussed by the society, that’s something we should talk about in 2024, together with TAYO NAMAN while DKT Health also had their segment ‘Dito Ka Tatakbo!’ with host Coleen Perez.

On a segment by GOLI together with popular young actress Francine Diaz, Francine talked about how she keeps her body fit and healthy and shared about her wellness journey with GOLI Nutrition hosted by Jamie Harrel. Puritan’s Pride on the other hand discussed the relationship of beauty and wellness with health expert Dr. Bea Chan.
