PASSI, Iloilo — A pair of young heavy-hitters collide Friday when John Kevien Jimenez and Jason Brillo battle for the Games and Amusements Board Youth minimumweight crown at the City of Passi Arena.

With Manny Pacquiao Presents: Blow-By-Blow staging the slugfest, Jimenez and Brillo bring to the ring armed with a combined 12-1 record with nine knockouts.

Representing the Chao Sy Boxing Stable of Cebu City, Jimenez dangles a 6-0 card with three knockouts.

Fighting under Nonoy Neri’s MP Boxing-Davao, Brillo packs a 7-1 mark with six knockouts.

“I was just like these young fighters, determined and motivated to make it big in the ring. We all had the same vision,” Pacquiao said.

Providing a helping hand to the 13-fight program are lawyer/CPA and City Mayor Stephen Palmares, Vice Mayor Elyzer Chavez and Department of Environment and Natural Resources Undersecretary Jesry Palmares.

As a part of Pacquiao’s vow to uplift Philippine boxing, the fights get primetime television coverage every Sunday at 8:30 p.m. via One Sports channel with San Miguel Beer Pale Pilsen backing up the famed show.

During Thursday’s official weigh-in held at a local mall, Jimenez tipped in at 104 lbs while Brillo came in at the division max of 105.
