After more than a month at home, Bianca Pagdanganan is not about to come in hot with tournaments stateside.
Instead, the 26-year-old LPGA full-card is taking steps closer to home. She will be making her season debut next week in the Honda LPGA Thailand on 22 to 25 February in Chonburi.
Then after that, another tournament in Singapore.
Her camp said Pagdanganan is flying to Thailand on Sunday, 18 February, for the $1.7 million Southeast Asian swing of the tour last won by Lilia Vu.
Pagdanganan kept herself busy during the holidays playing in local golf courses including Manila Golf, Luisita and Camp Aguinaldo.
The similarity on weather should help the former Asian Games champ in preparing for the meet slated at Siam Country Club Old Course.
Top-ranked golfers, including Vu, Céline Boutier, Ruoning Yin, and Thailand’s favorite, Ariya Jutanugarn, will headline the event.
The 17th edition of the meet promises world-class excitement with a star-studded line-up comprising the 72-player field.
An exclusive reward — the all-new Honda Accord e:HEV, e:HEV RS variant, valued at 1,799,000 Baht or around P1.55 million — awaits the first player who makes a hole-in-one on the 16th hole.
Allisen Corpuz, the US Women’s Open winner, and former world No.1 Jin Young Ko are confirmed participants, along with Amy Yang, who is competing for her fourth championship.
It is Pagdanganan’s first tournaments since clinching full status in the LPGA following her impressive run late in the season.
