The Philippines’ major golf stars Dottie Ardina and Miguel Tabuena embark on their own separate journeys this weekend in search of honors.
Ardina, who is playing for both the LPGA and the Epson Tour, tries her luck starting Thursday in the TLPGA Players Championships at Taoyuan City, Taiwan.
Failing to make the grade to recoup her LPGA full status last year, Ardina is hoping to kick off her season as the lone Filipina campaigner in the $1 million meet slated at Orient Golf and Country Club.
Tabuena, the No. 2 in the Asian Tour Order of Merit, will lead the Filipino assault in the International Series Oman on 22 to 25 February.
Following his shared 13th place finish at IRS Prima Malaysia, Tabuena has high hopes in the $2-million tournament at Al Wouj Golf in Muscat.
Angelo Que, who placed joint 31st in Malaysia, will also join the fray as well as Justin Quiban.
