For Fuchs’ products that are used, approved and demanded by leading professional race teams in MotoGP, World Superbikes, British Superbikes and even in motocross and karting, the Fuchs Silkolene brand of high-performance motorbike lubricants rates high among riders who demand only the best for their two-wheelers.
For three decades, Fuchs Silkolene has been perfecting its products through research and development to meet the requirements of motorcycle, scooter and even quad owners who require maximum performance and best protection for their ride.
“We are guided by the words of our (Fuchs SE) CEO Stefan Fuchs who said customers trust us and they expect that we’ll have the right solution. Because of this, we make zero compromise and operate in unconditional reliability,” stressed Fuchs Group regional vice president for India, Southeast Asia, Japan and South Korea, Ruven Ebner, during the launch of the Fuchs Silkolene held at the Gallio Events Hall in Parañaque City.
Ebner added that its lubricants were developed using the latest technologies and they exhibit measurable performance improvements. “Take for example our new, innovative XP-Technology in the existing Pro and Comp products. We offer real advantages including 3-percent increased power, 11-percent fuel savings, and 18-percent lower oil consumption. Today, FUCHS as a German company, is known worldwide for its high-performance lubricants and related specialties in almost all industries and application fields. Today, we are one of the most important brands in the two-wheeler segment in various regions.”
Even the containers
Ebner said even the packaging was included in the R&D. With Fuchs Silkolene’s extensive range of lubricants available for motorcyclists, the company acknowledged that it can be difficult for the buyers when choosing which is which. “That’s why we have made sure that our re-designed Fuchs Silkolene containers and packs are color-coded and clearly labeled. Our clear and defined color label system directs you quickly to the right product. From scooter rider to classic enthusiast or commuter to all-out racer, you can easily find the very best product to meet your exact needs.”
The company also improved the container’s ergonomics so it would feel better in the hands and make the product easier to dispense. The refined neck design and handle grip area on the front of every 1-liter bottle make pouring smoother, so the user can add oil to the motorcycle effortlessly. Plus, the new tamper-resistant screw cap gives one peace of mind that the bottle hasn’t been opened before.
But more than the ergonomics, redesigning the Fuchs Silkolene’s container was developed with sustainability in mind since it is made up of at least 30-percent post-consumer recycled material, making it environment-friendly.
“Plus, the improved bottles help ensure our buyers use every last drop. We also prioritize CO2-neutral production. Since the beginning of 2021, all Fuchs subsidiaries worldwide have been completely CO2-neutral. That means, using Fuchs Silkolene oils helps reduce your carbon footprint,” assured Ebner.
Importance of lube oil
Lube oil plays a critical role to reduce friction and to ensure the machines are more energy-efficient in terms of fuel consumption and power output. Using unqualified lube oil can result in malfunction and damage to engines and machinery.
“Lubricants provide three major functions within our engine: cooling, cleaning and reducing friction. Since 1908, the company’s early appreciation of different types of synthetic base oils kept us ahead of the competition. It first established itself as a premier motorcycle motor oil brand. Since then, Silkolene has been synonymous with motorsport success, boasting a proven track record in prestigious events like the World Superbike Championships and British Superbike Championships. Its active participation across international Speedway, Motocross, and Karting racing circuits underscores Silkolene’s unwavering commitment to innovation and performance,” Ebner said.
Ebner is glad that Fuchs Silkolene is once again available in the Philippines, joining over 50 countries that benefit from the brand’s comprehensive range of lubricants for motorcycles, scooters and quads like its two-stroke and four-stroke engine oils, gear oils, shock absorber oils, chain lubrication, coolant additives, special cleaner, and care and cleaning products for air filters and brakes.
