Major roster changes are shaking things up in the local Esports scene ahead of the highly-anticipated return of Mobile Legends Professional League Philippines set to start on 15 March.
In its bid to end its string of heartbreaks, Omega Esports has parted ways with four key members of its MPL team.
Anthony “YnoT” Senedrin and Patrick “E2MAX” Caidic have transferred to ONIC PH together with gold laner Duane “Kelra” Pillas.
Star roamer Joshua “Ch4knu” Mangilog, meanwhile, has been relegated to Omega Esports’ Mobile Legends Development League squad Omega Neos.
ONIC PH did not only sign three key players to the team, as it listed the services of former TNC Pro Team player King Cyric “K1NGKONG” Perez, who demonstrated great potential last season despite failing to make it to the Playoffs.
Completing the ONIC PH roster are Frince Miguel “frinceee” Ramirez, Jem “Jem” Lañojan, Jomarie “Escalera” delos Santos and David Christian “BOSS A” Gamboa.
As Omega Esports had let go of old players, the squad also welcomed new ones to the team led by popular jungler and former Nexplay player John Paul “h2wo” Salonga.
Completing the Omega Esports roster are CJ “Ribo” Ribo, Jomari “Jowm” Pingol, Nowee “Ryota” Macasa, Ron Matthew “M4tt” Papag, Ryan Michi “RAYL” Asaoka, Christian “Westtt” Mangabay, Mark Glenn “Marked” Florencio, Louis “LOUIS” Ariola, Dexter “Exort” Martinez, Ronel “Coach Str0nger” Tan, Lemuel “COACH LEMBOT” Lucban, and Allec Monsseur “SN4P” Alvarad.
“New face. New strength. Bagong barangay! Get ready to embark on a legendary battle fueled by passion and excitement,” Omega Esports said during its roster reveal.
