American John Catlin scorched the course with a sensational 11-under-par 59 on Saturday to take the lead with one round left in the Asian Tour International Series Macau.

It was an eagle-aided round for Catlin, taming the Macau Golf and Country Club course and taking a two-stroke lead with an 18-under three-day total.

Filipinos Angelo Que and Justin Quiban just couldn’t match the display of power in the upper rung of the leaderboard.

Que fired a 68 for eight-under total, 10 shots off the leader which is good for a share of 41st in the $2- million event.

Quiban was four strokes further following a 66 for joint 64th.

Challenging Catlin is fellow American Jason Cokrak who tuned in a 62 for 16-under total. At one stroke back is Australian Lucas Herbert who also had a 62.

Catlin eagled the Par-5 18th to cap the superb round that saw him birdieing 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, 11, 13 and 17.
