Malixi, U.S. bets share second

Rianne Malixi fashioned out an eagle-aided second round on Friday to take a share of second place in the Sage Valley Junior Invitational at Graniteville, South Carolina.

The 16-year-old eagled the par 5 10th hitting the driver and three wood to reach the green, highlighting her round that pushed her to one-under-par 71.

Following a 73 in the opening round, Malixi now has a 144 two-day total after birdieing 4, 8 and 16 and bogeying 1, 6, 11 and 14.

She is tied with American Gianna Clemente of the United States who shot a 70 Friday, and Nikki Oh also the US who had a 69.

They are all four shots behind another American Asterisk Talley who fired a 70 for four-under 140.
