Though it has already been announced, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines Corporation has largely kept the details of the XForce B-SUV under wraps.
Yet people are wanting for more and more information about the crossover SUV whose official launch is scheduled for this June.
Meantime, Mitsubishi Indonesia had begun exporting to neighboring countries in Southeast Asia and beyond.
And from the looks of it, the XForce that is about to hit our shores shares the same specs.
For one, the MMPC received regulatory approval of a new vehicle with a 1499cc displacement engine.
Sounds familiar already?
It’s because the only other vehicles that share that engine is the Xpander and the Xpander Cross.
The approved vehicle reportedly has 1.5-liter 4A91 four-cylinder engine. The same exact engine that boosts the Indonesian and Vietnam versions of the XForce crossovers.
The inline-four makes a respectable 105 PS at 6000 revolutions per minute along with 141 Newton-meter torque at 4000 rpm. It is paired with a CVT that drives the front wheels.
It is expected that the Philippine version to have a wheelbase of 2650 millimeters and measure 4390mm long, 1810mm wide and 1660mm tall.
The 222mm ground clearance is likewise anticipated, making the XForce taller than its counterparts.
Inside, the XForce will likely have digital instrument cluster to go with a 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment (8-inch touchscreen on lesser models).
Steering wheel, as per the earlier versions, are leather-wrapped steering wheel with leather seats and dual-zone automatic climate control.
Drive modes vary to Normal, Wet, Gravel and Mud, and sound system by Yamaha.
Well, it’s still a long way before June, but if that’s exactly what the Philippine version of the XForce is going to be, then it’s all worth the wait.
