Just recently, Lexus Philippines unveiled the 2024 LBX which stands for Lexus Breakthrough X (crossover) — the sleek, subcompact offering from the luxury car brand.
The design alone is consistent with the brand: A stylish appearance certified to catch everyone’s attention despite the fact that it stands just under the UX.
With its “Premium Casual” look, the 2024 LBX carries an attractive pair of LED daytime lights which go very well with the brand’s well-known “Spindle Grille.”
Body cladding is at full swing and rides tall, the better to navigate through Metro Manila’s busy streets strewn with just about anything.
It is complemented with 18-inch alloy wheels and sports LED taillights with integrated light bar spanning the entire tailgate and bumpers.
The 2024 LBX is 4160 millimeters long, 1825mm wide, and 1560mm tall and has a 2580mm wheelbase. Ground clearance is 220mm, just like in the bigger SUV segments, and its turning radius is 5.2 meters.
The dashboard is also a worth mentioning because for an SUV of its stature — retailing starts at P2.968 million — it is neat and minimalist.
A 9.8-inch tablet-inspired touchscreen infotainment system is at the forefront running the latest Lexus Link Connect System. Oh, and it has a voice recognition system. Just say: “Hey Lexus.”
There’s a 12.3-inch digital instrument console that contains everything the driver needs to know and more. Leather seats and ambient lighting.
Also, there’s a six-speaker sound system and drive modes, wireless charging pad, USB charging ports, heads-up display, power tailgate, among others.
Engine is a 1.5-liter three-cylinder engine that is complemented with nickel-metal hydride battery. Output is 136 horsepower and 185 newton-meter of torque.
