Alex Eala and her partner Estelle Cascino of France barged into the W75 Croissy-Beaubourg final after a 6-3, 6-3 win over Kira Pavlova of Russia and Marie Weckerle of Luxembourg last Saturday at the Comité Départemental de Tennis de Seine & Marne in France.

Eala and Cascino needed one hour and seven minutes to take care of business and get one step closer to the women’s doubles trophy.

The two netters previously defeated 6-4, 6-0 win Emily Appleton of Great Britain and Isabella Haverlag of the Netherlands, last Friday in the competition which dangles a $ 60,000 cash prize.

Eala, ranked at No. 171 in the Women’s Tennis Association, is on the verge of winning her second doubles tournament in her professional career.

She won her first doubles crown last January at the W50 Pune in India with Darja Semenistaja of Latvia.

A win here will allow Eala to walk away with a trophy after her exit in the women’s singles after a 6-4, 4-6, 1-6 loss to Mona Barthel of Germany in the Round of 16 last Wednesday.
