Alex Eala wins her second women’s doubles crown after she and Estelle Cascino of France delivered a 7-5, 7-6 win over hometown bet Jessika Ponchet and Maia Lumsden of Great Britain in the finals of the W75 Croissy-Beaubourg at the Comité Départemental de Tennis de Seine & Marne in France late Saturday (Manila time).
Eala and Cascino only needed one hour and 31 minutes to dispatch the top-seeded pair of the tournament and win the crown that boasts a cash prize of $60,000.
This is the second trophy for Eala after her W50 Pune win in India last January with Darja Semenistaja of Latvia.
The Rafael Nadal Academy graduate also won her sixth title at the professional level since 2020.
