Fresh from representing the country in the 2024 FIBA 3×3 Asia Cup in Singapore, Kaye Pingol returns to Uratex Dream as they seek glory in the 3×3 Basketball Thailand International League 2024.

The Gilas Pilipinas Women stalwart will be the front and center for the Philippine club when it plays in Zeer Rangsit, Thailand on 4 and 5 April.

Pingol reunites with teammates Sam Harada, Shanda Anies, and Chinese reinforcement Renzhu Li as they take on a tough Pool B in the 10-team field.

Uratex has been grouped with the Azerbaijan 3×3 Women’s National Team led by former Houston Comets center Marcedes Walker, Lotto 3×3 Team of Poland, and CT Tigers and Udon Wolves from Thailand.

“It’s very challenging for us but every time we play for Uratex, we take it upon ourselves to carry that pride of representing the Philippines as well,” said Pingol, who is seeking to push the Dream further than their quarterfinal finish last year.

Pool A, on the other hand, will have Dusseldorf ZOOS of Germany featuring Manila Hustle 3×3 Season 2 Most Valuable Player Aoi Katsura and Ama Degbeon, together with Malaysia Rising Star, Jumpshot of Singapore, and Thai teams Shoot It Dragons and Sriracha Eagle.

The top three teams in each pool will earn automatic quarterfinal berths, while the bottom two will still have to play in a knockout game.

Over on the men’s side, Coach E Basketball School and Banh Mi Kitchen will represent the country on 6 and 7 April.

Coach E Basketball School will be composed of Ryan Monteclaro, JP Belencion, Bong Galanza and Ivan Maata and is grouped in Pool A with Malaysia Rising Star, Ninja Air of Japan, and Luang Prabang of Laos.

Banh Mi Kitchen, on the other hand, will have Yutien Andrada, Tonino Gonzaga, TH Tumalip and Louie Vigil as it finds itself in Pool C with Thai teams Shoot It Dragons, Chiang Rai Bull and Chumphon Blue Crabs.

Pool B will have Sagamihara 3×3 of Japan, New Force of USA, and Thai squads Sriracha Eagle and Udon Wolves to complete the 12-team cast.

The winner in the men’s side will earn a spot in the Hongcheon Challenger on 11 and 12 May, which will serve as a qualifier for the 2024 FIBA 3×3 World Tour Chengdu Masters.
