Kaya FC-Iloilo is planning to celebrate its first Philippines Football League title with its fans back in Iloilo.

Kaya general manager Paul Tolentino said this is the club’s way of thanking its followers for their solid support during the season.

He also said the club is still finalizing the details on the proposed trophy parade.

The Iloilo-based squad capped off its season with a 3-1 win over Stallion Laguna FC last Saturday at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex.

“We’ll send (out) the information soon. We’re still finalizing the plans,” Tolentino said.

“We would have been in Iloilo (for the final game) had we been given the chance but we’ll be in Iloilo anyway, hopefully parading the trophy there.”

Kaya finished its season with 18 wins, one draw and three losses to collect 55 points, which was enough to secure the club’s first PFL title.

Ceres-Negros FC won the first three editions of the PFL before winning another title under the United City FC name.

Japanese coach Yu Hoshide is happy to capture the team’s first league title.

“I’m so happy with the championship,” said Hoshide, who has made the country his home in the last decade.

“I really appreciated the support from everyone, the fans, supporters. We hope they enjoyed this title celebration like we did.”

Japanese talisman Daizo Horikoshi finished the season with 15 goals and 19 assists for Kaya to win the Golden Ball award with Kaya goalkeeper Zach Banzon taking home the Golden Glove award after four clean sheets.
