The fifth installment of the Mobile Legends M-Series will introduce a new wild card format for M5 World Championship which is set to take place in the Philippines later this year.

According to Mobile Legends developer Moonton Games, the goal is to empower both the mature and emerging regions in the Esports ecosystem.

“The Wild Card will be hosted in November, featuring eight regions in a different country, followed by the Group and Knockout Stages in December,” Moonton announced.

Touted as the biggest stage in competitive Mobile Legends, M5 World Championship brandishes its biggest prize pool yet at $900,000 or around 50.18 million pesos.

The Philippines has so far won 3 of 4 world championships, starting from M2 in 2021 up to M4 which took place in January this year.

Malaysia, Mekong, Latin America, South Asia, Eastern Europe and Central Asia (EECA), and Mongolia are those included in the wild card as of this writing.
