Action PH Academy’s second course gets going

Action PH Academy, the first institution offering poker mentorship in the country, started its second introductory course yesterday, 10 July, and will run through 21 July at the Masters Poker Club in Malate, Manila.

Over 20 aspiring poker players registered for the event including corporate employees, businessmen and recreational players.  The 11-day course will cover such topics as Poker Tips for Beginners or Mid-level players, Post Flop Strategy, Bet sizing strategy and Introduction to ICM.

Dave Erquiaga, a noted international pro and among the founders of the academy, will be handling the daily sessions along with former No. 1 online player Jason Ong. Another Action PH coach, Flo Campomanes, will miss the ongoing course as he is in Las Vegas, Nevada competing in the World Series of Poker. He is joined in the prestigious tournament by Mike Takayama, and Jojo Tech, among others.

Poker has gained immense popularity worldwide as a game of skill, strategy and entertainment. In recent years, the Philippines has witnessed a significant rise in interest and participation in poker.
