The Philippine Air Force made an immediate impact after a 1-0 win over Don Bosco Garelli United in the Copa Paulino Alcantara at the Rizal Memorial Sports Complex Saturday.
Dari Poderoso scored the lone goal of the match in the 46th minute as the Air Force started their Copa Paulino Alcantara campaign on a high note.
In the second game, Tuloy FC overturned a 1-2 halftime deficit and won the match, 3-2.
After a 49th-minute goal from John Levis Sajor, James Demate, who came onto the pitch in the 83rd minute, scored the game-winning goal in the 89th minute thanks to an assist from Cyrelle James Saut.
Both Air Force and Tuloy FC lead Group A and Group C, respectively, with similar 1-0 records.
Adamson University faces Davao Aguilas FC at 4:30 p.m. with Club de Futbol Manila going up against Loyola FC at the same venue.
