Despite being left out, Robert Bolick insists he will not think twice about representing the country when the opportunity knocks in the future.
A standout during the 20189 FIBA World Cup, Bolick was among the big names who didn’t get the call to report for training camp for the 2023 edition of the cagefest.
“No, I wasn’t (invited),” the 5-foo-10 Bolick wrote when asked if Gilas head coach Chot Reyes asked him to join the national team program for next month’s competitions.
Now suiting up for the Fukushima Firebonds in the Japan B2 League, Bolick swears he will answer the call of duty if given a chance.
“If there’s an opportunity (to play) there, why not?” the former NorthPort guard said.
The 2019 worlds also had CJ Perez, who is still with Gilas now revving up for the 25 August to 10 September event.
