Lithuania stuns USA in FIBA World Cup

Lithuania stays undefeated in the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup, pulling off a 110-104 shocker against the United States at the Mall of Asia Arena Sunday evening.

In front of 11,349 fans, the Lithuanians pulled off the win over the Americans, a first since the 2004 Athens Olympics in Greece.

With a 98-90 lead with two minutes and six seconds left in the fourth quarter, Tomas Dimsa nailed a three-pointer to put the Lithuanians up by 11 points.

Dimsa also scored the insurance basket in the dying seconds of the game, getting a dunk to put the score at 110-104.

Vaidas Kariniauskas led Lithuania with 15 points while Tadas Sedekerskis had a double-double game of 11 points and 11 rebounds as they take the top spot in Group J.

Anthony Edwards led all scorers with 35 points.
