In an executive-level shuffle aimed at galvanizing its brand footprint, Astara Philippines has announced a reconfiguration of its top brass, effective 1 September.
The restructuring reveals Astara Philippines’ approach toward attaining market leadership, and it offers a glimpse into the company’s roadmap for both its immediate and long-term future.
Franz Decloedt, who assumed the role of marketing director at Astara Philippines in March 2023, has been elevated to the key position of Brand Head of GAC Motor.
Decloedt’s portfolio in his new capacity will cover a lot of ground — from piloting GAC Motor’s brand strategies to steering sales and marketing campaigns.
Until the installation of a new brand head, Decloedt will also serve as the point person for Peugeot’s sales and marketing imperatives.
With over two decades of senior-level expertise in the automotive and Fast-Moving Consumer Goods sectors, Decloedt’s skill set aligns seamlessly with Astara Philippines’ ambitions.
“Franz’s dedication, creativity, and proven track record make him the perfect fit for leading the GAC Motor brand to new heights. We are confident that his insights and leadership will drive our brand’s evolution in the competitive automotive market,” Raoul Picello, the managing director of Astara Philippines, said.
Following Decloedt’s promotion, Timmy Naval-de Leon will assume the role of the new marketing director of Astara Philippines.
Naval-De Leon is not new to the rigors and nuances of the automotive marketing landscape; her resume boasts over 20 years of seasoned experience in marketing and corporate communications within the automotive industry.
As the marketing director, she is tasked with formulating and executing the strategic marketing direction for all automotive brands under Astara Philippines’ umbrella.
