Players looking to secure a passport entry to the US$40 Million WPT World Championship at Wynn Las Vegas in December, can use the upcoming WPT Vietnam slated 6 to16 October in Hanoi as a stepping stone.
The VND 35 billion (USD 1.4 million) tournament offers 10 passport packages to be awarded across the series’ 32-event lineup, allowing tournament participants to win not only cash prizes but entries to the most thrilling tournament of the year.
“Once again, holding true to last year, we are proud to offer a wide assortment of opportunities for players to secure their seat in the World Championship,” said WPT CEO Adam Pliska.
“WPT Global is the foremost avenue for international online players to qualify, while our casino partners scattered across the globe are hosting satellites and promotions to bring players from all walks of life to Wynn Las Vegas this December.”
The 11-day schedule is centered on the VND 12 billion (USD 493,300) guaranteed Main Event starting on Thursday, 12 October with buy-in at VND 30 million (USD 1,230) across three flights on schedule.
The champion will be crowned on the festival’s concluding day with the lucky winner taking home a $10,400 WPT World Championship entry & hotel package together with his victory. Aside from the Main Event, several tournaments (Events 1, 10, 17, 26 and 27) will also include WPT Prime Championship $1,100 entry and hotel packages taken from the prize pool.
In addition to the listed events on schedule, direct satellites to both the WPT World Championship and WPT Prime Championship games will be running for entry fees VND 27,500,000 (USD 1,130) and VND 2,750,000 (USD 110) respectively, for those eyeing to score WPT passports alone.
