Adamson University eked out a 72-65 win over the University of the East in the UAAP Season 86 men’s basketball tournament at the Mall of Asia Arena Sunday evening.

Ced Manzano and Matthew Montebon led the Soaring Falcons with 13 points each as they now hold a 3-2 win-loss record.

“It was a hard win against UE. Going to the game, I consider ourselves minus-five against UE kasi when you look at the numbers,” Adamson head coach Nash Racela said.

Earlier, National University survived De La Salle University in overtime, 80-77.

Jolo Manansala scored 13 points as the Bulldogs are in second place with a 4-1 slate.
