Dottie Ardina carded a 69 on Sunday to salvage a share of 47th place in the Maybank LPGA Malaysia at the West course of the Kuala Lumpur Golf and Country Club.
The Filipina was groping for form all week scoring 73, 68 and 74 in the first three rounds against the Tour’s best players all chasing top honors in the $3 million tournament.
But she gained ground on the last day with birdies on 3, 4 and 14 in a bogey-less round for a four-under total of 284.
Japanese-Filipina Yuka Saso ended up tied for 20th place after a 67 for a total of 10-under 278.
France’s Celine Boutier and Thailand’s Atthaya Thitikul were locked in a sudden-death playoff when play was halted due to bad weather.
Boutier and Thitikul both ended the four rounds at 21-under 267. Boutier sizzled with a 64, while Thitikul signed for a 68.
They both parred the first playoff hole, the par-5 No. 1 when it was suspended.
