2 p.m. — Chery Tiggo vs Gerflor

4 p.m. — Farm Fresh vs Creamline

6 p.m. — Cignal vs Akari

Streaking defending champion Creamline returns to action aiming for a fourth straight win against winless Farm Fresh in another triple-bill feature of the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference today at the FilOil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.

Life has been easy for the Cool Smashers despite fielding different rotations in each of their previous three games to remain unbeaten in the share of the top spot with Petro Gazz.

All advantages seem to be on Creamline’s side once again when it meets a team still struggling to capture the elusive win since it joined the league in the last conference in their scheduled 4 p.m. tussle.

Meanwhile, duking it out at the 2 p.m. curtain-raiser are Chery Tiggo and Gerflor while Akari seeks to extend its winning run to three in the 6 p.m. encounter versus Cignal.

The Cool Smashers blasted the Defenders, 25-15, 25-12, 25-10, last Thursday in Antipolo with their vaunted deep arsenal of talents in full display as 11 Creamline players chipped in on offense.

Michele Gumabao has been consistent so far in the second serving of the AFC with an average of 14 points per game while Kyle Negrito has held her own as the main playmaker with eight-time Best Setter Jia Morado-De Guzman taking a leave of absence to play in the Japan V. League.

Head coach Sherwin Meneses is also getting good numbers from middles Jeanette Panaga, Risa Sato, Pau Soriano and Lorie Bernardo with Ced Domingo unavailable due her Thailand stint.

“Creamline is playing under one system so would say that our middles know what they are doing. Same with the rest of the team, each player knows what role to play,” Meneses said of his squad that is being bannered by Most Valuable Players in Alyssa Valdez, Tots Carlos and Jema Galanza.

While the Cool Smashers are playing like a well-oiled machine, the young Foxies are still groping for form and maturity on court.

Farm Fresh failed to hold on to the momentum it built in the first set last game when it bowed to the Chargers, 25-21, 24-26, 15-25, 21-25, last Thursday.
