Miguel Tabuena and Angelo Que turned in 72 and 73, respectively to co-share 32nd place Saturday entering the final round of the Volvo China Open at Hidden Grace Golf Club.
Tabuena, the Asian Tour Order of Merit second-placer, and Que totaled a three-under 213 over the past three rounds, 11 shots off the leader.
Tabuena appeared to be in contention following his 68 in Friday’s second round. But he failed to keep up with the aggressive field.
Justin Quiban is at T49 after an even-par 72 to go two shots behind his compatriots.
Chen Guxin of China continued to build up his buffer with a three-stroke lead over his closest pursuers in the $1.5 million tournament.
Guxin is now at 202 following a six-under-par 66.
Thai Sarit Suwannarut and Chinese Ding Wenyi are at 11-under 205 after posting 65 and 67, respectively, on Saturday.
