Games today:
(Filoil EcoOil Centre)
2 p.m. — Nxled vs Galeries
4 p.m. — F2 Logistics vs Cignal
6 p.m. — Petro Gazz vs Choco Mucho
Streaking Choco Mucho collides with skidding Petro Gazz in the main game of today’s triple bill in the Premier Volleyball League All-Filipino Conference elimination round at the Filoil EcoOil Centre in San Juan.
The Flying Titans are on a five-game roll while the Angels are coming off three straight losses but that does not mean this is going to be easy.
Choco Mucho has not dropped a set since bowing to defending champion Creamline last 15 October, disposing of Farm Fresh, Cignal, Galeries, Nxled and Akari to gain solo third at 5-1 behind its unbeaten sister team (6-0) and Chery Tiggo (6-1).
And for a team which could not seem to win games in the first two conferences, the Flying Titans could not seem to lose at this stage of their campaign.
“We are happy that we have been winning because we could not do it in the fist two conferences and we can’t seem to know how we did it. But since we are already here, we are hoping that this will continue,” head coach Dante Alinsunurin said.
Another victory in their 6 p.m. encounter will further boost Choco Mucho’s semifinal drive in the season-ending conference of the league organized by Sports Vision with Alinsunurin confident of sustaining their streak.
