Miguel Tabuena crashed the Top 10 of the BNI Indonesian Masters on Sunday following a final-round seven-under 64 at the Royale Jakarta Golf Club.

The Filipino No. 2 in the Asian Tour Order of Merit shot down eight birdies (1, 3, 5, 6, 9, 11, 12 and 17) to go with his lone bogey of the day at the 7th.

That was enough to assemble a 13-under 271, nine shots behind champion Gaganjeet Bhullar of India.

Aside from the boost he would get for the OOM, Tabuena picked up a check worth $28,975 (P1.605 million).

Other Filipino campaigners Angelo Que and Justin Quiban finished lower down the standings after struggling on the final round.

Que had two-over-par 73 to place T61 with 284, while Quiban faltered with a five-over-par 76 for T66 with 288.

Que cashed in $4,725 P261,753), while Quiban pocketed $4,050 (P224,359).

Bhullar ran away with the title via a five-stroke victory, wrapping the tourney at 24-under 260. He pocketed the top prize of $270,000.

He bested compatriot Karandeep Kochhar whose masterful 63 in the last round allowed him to total 265.

“I think, as I said yesterday, the goal was to keep the ball in play from the tee and hit it close from the fairway,” Bhullar said.

His previous wins came by way of wire-to-wire in the Macao Open in 2012 and 2017 and the 2013 Indonesia Open.

“And then the goal is to putt better, and today I putted really well. I missed the shortest birdie putt of the week on number three, which was like three feet, I think after that, that just kind of motivated me to read the lines properly and just some sort of a trigger in my mind,” he added.

“And I think after that I just kept reading the lines properly and the pace was really good today.”
