Made in Philippines and Oasis Gaming asserted their might to emerge victorious in the Predator League 2024 Philippine Finals recently at the SM North EDSA Cyberzone.
MIPH dominated Dota 2 while Oasis ruled Valorant to earn a Predator Shield and book a ticket to the upcoming Asia Pacific Predator League 2024 Grand Finals that will be held at the Mall of Asia Arena from 13 to 14 January next year.
After pulling off a masterful 2-0 sweep of Interactive Philippines, MIPH dominated Smurfers, 2-0, to clinch the title and pocket the P250,000 cash prize. Smurfers bagged P100,000 while Neon Esports and Interactive Philippines took home P55,000.
In the Valorant championship, Oasis Gaming overcame a 1-0 deficit to get past NAOS Esports, 2-1, in the semifinals.
Then, Oasis breezed past ZOL Esports, 2-0, to bag the title and run away with a P250,000 cash prize. ZOL Esports, for its part, settled for P100,000 while NAOS Esports and Valhalla received P55,000.
MIPH is expected to face intense competition from other powerhouse Dota 2 teams in the region, including Blacklist International, Execration, and defending Asia Pacific Predator League champions Polaris Esports, when it competes in the Asia Pacific battle.
Meanwhile, Oasis Gaming and ZOL Esports will also face the Filipino-led Team Secret, one of the most feared teams in the VCT Pacific League.
A total of 26 teams from across the Asia Pacific region are expected to gun for pride and glory in the grand finals.
