MPL PH Season 12 champion AP Bren and Blacklist International are going to the Knockout Stage of M5 World Championship after topping their respective groups in the prestigious tournament.
The 2023 IESF world champion and M2 world champion AP Bren was the first to punch its ticket to the Playoffs after sweeping Mongolia’s Team Lilgun earlier today at EVM Convention Center in Quezon City.
Overall, AP Bren had a flawless outing thus far, sweeping Burmese Ghouls and Team Flash in the Group Stage to register a perfect 3-0 record. They did not lose a single game in the bracket.
Three-time MPL PH Season 12 runner-up and M3 world champion Blacklist International, meanwhile, lost its third and final series in the Group Stage following a 0-2 defeat at the hands of Fire Flux Esports.
Ending the Group Stage with a 2-1 standing at no.2, Blacklist International also copped a slot in the Playoffs which is slated to run from December 9 to 17 at the Rizal Memorial Coliseum in Manila.
With eight teams locked in the Playoffs, Blacklist International is set to face Indonesian powerhouse Onic Esports on Saturday, December 9, while AP Bren takes on See You Soon on Sunday, December 10.
