The Junior Philippine Golf Tour announced on Wednesday there will be 10 tournaments throughout the year.
PGT general manager Colo Ventosa said the number of meets for juniors will be the same as the PGT and the LPGT.
“We will start in May and will last until August or September,” Ventosa said in a press conference held at The Country Club.
Jungolf stalwarts like siblings Mona, Lisa and Vito Sarines were on hand, among others.
“It is fun and nice organization,” said Mona who just a day ago scored her sixth hole-in-one.
“I feel like I was playing in the pros already because they organize professional tournaments.”
Ventosa underscored the many junior tournaments organized not just by the JPGT, but the National Golf Association of the Philippines and the Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines.
“We work around their tournament schedules,” Ventosa said.
“The more junior tournaments these kids can play, the better for them.”
