The country’s hottest junior golfer Alethea Page Gaccion and Aldrien Gialon lead their respective categories after two rounds in the ongoing Junior Golf Foundation of the Philippines-Mindanao Pueblo Open.
Gaccion, who has been winning left and right since last year, imposed herself in the Girls 13-18 World Amateur Golf Ranking category at Pueblo de Oro Golf and Country Club in Cagayan de Oro City.
She holds a four-shot lead after a two-day 141 late Tuesday, leading second-running Kiara Montebon.
Nicole Gan is at third place at 151, while Crista Miñoza and Isabella Tabanas round up the top five with similar 155s.
Gialon paces the Boys’ side at 141, followed by Clement Ordeneza (143), Cliff Nuneza (145), Simon Wahing (146) and Nino Villacencio (148) in the top five.
Rolando Bregenta leads the Special Edition for 19-21.
Geoffrey Tan holds sway in the Boys 13-14 with a 74, pacing Ordeneza (75) and Apollo Batican (81).
Tabanas lords it over in the Girls 13-14 with a 75, leading Gan (77) and Zero Plete (80).
In Boys’ 11-12, Ken Guillermo is in the driver’s seat with 80, while Javier Bautista and Felix Bulla III holds second and third place with 83 and 87, respectively.
Marthena Chan is in control of Girls 11-12 with 111, while Iza Racines is at second place with 115.
