University of Perpetual Help System Dalta added another brilliant mind in its think tank after tapping the services of Richard del Rosario as part of the Altas’ coaching staff.
Del Rosario, who was formally introduced on Monday, will be working closely with new Perpetual tactician Olsen Racela for the upcoming National Collegiate Athletic Association Season 100 erupting in September.
The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel deputy in the Philippine Basketball Association completed Racela’s staff along with Joshua Del Rosario, Jam Lipae, Gerald Dizon, Junior Altas head coach Joph Cleopas and former head coach Myk Saguiguit.
“They are the core of my coaching staff. We have already started practice and conditioning with the help of our team manager boss Anton Tamayo and team owner boss Tony Tamayo,” Racela said.
Perpetual alumni and Gin Kings star Scottie Thompson, meanwhile, serves as assistant manager.
“I like what I’ve seen with the team. We have lots of promising players. We have a great lineup and I hope that we’ll be able to compete this season,” Racela, who formally signed with the Altas two weeks ago, said.
Perpetual Altas finished fifth in Season 99 with a 10-8 win-loss card.
