The Philippine Aquatics Inc. expressed its gratitude to the presidential declaration of support for the country’s hosting of the 11th Asian Age Group Championships set from 26 February to 9 March at the New Clark City Aquatics Center in Capas, Tarlac.
PAI secretary general Eric Buhain thanked President Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos for rallying behind the prestigious event that is set to gather the finest age group swimmers from all over Asia.
“And just like that, we’re off to a very fine sailing start of this first-ever endeavor of the PAI,” said Buhain, a 13-time Southeast Asian Games gold medalist who now serves as congressman of the 1st District of Batangas.
“The whole Philippine aquatics community thanks our beloved President Ferdinand Bong Bong Marcos Jr. for his support.”
According to the Memorandum Circular 43 signed by Executive Secretary Lucas Bersamin on 17 January, all government offices and instrumentalities, including government-owned and controlled corporations must throw their all-out support to the Asian tourney.
The circular also encourages the private sector to extend support and assistance for the event which is co-organized by the Bases Conversion and Development Authority and the Philippine Olympic Committee.
