Kacey dela Rosa was already seen as a budding star even before she first stepped on the court in Manila Hustle 3×3 last year.

But after her standout showing that allowed her to claim the Most Valuable Player honors, the 19-year-old center admitted that her career took off, allowing her to grow leaps and bounds.

“More people have gotten to know me as a basketball player which has given me more opportunities and these opportunities have allowed me to grow as a person and as a basketball player,” she said.

Since then, Dela Rosa has gone on and earned a national team call-up before winning the University Athletics Association of the Philippines MVP honors for Ateneo de Manila University.

This time, she will be back to lead Gilas Pilipinas Women for Season 2 on 3 and 4 February at the SM Mall of Asia Music Hall.
