Lois Kaye Go and Daniella Uy secured full status in the tough Thai Ladies Professional Golf Association Friday after finishing in the top 20 of its Q-School held at the Water Golf Club Resort.
Go, former Asian Games gold medalist, wound up third for third, while Uy grabbed a share of 16th place in the qualifying tournament meant to determine the composition of the 2024 season.
With a 211 total, Go was four shots behind Hitaashee Bakshi of India who ruled the Q-School after a nine-under 207.
Uy was two-under 214 to make the top 20 which earned full status for the tour.
Mikha Fortuna wasn’t as fortunate, though, as she failed to make the cut.
An alumnus of the University of South Carolina, Go represented the country in the last Asian Games and Southeast Asian Games.
She formed the Philippines’ “golden girls” who bagged the team gold during the 2018 Asiad along with Yuka Saso and Bianca Pagdanganan.
Uy is coming at the heels of her stunning Philippine LPGT campaign last season where she won three legs, namely the Forest Hills, Mimosa and Del Monte.
They will join Thai LPGA mainstays Princess Superal, Chanelle Avaricio and Marvi Monsalve who are 82nd, 83rd and 93rd in the 2023 Order of Merit.
