Bianca Pagdanganan slipped to a share of 41st after an even-par 72 on Saturday as hometown bet Patty Tavatanakit sustained her attack going into the final round of the Honda LPGA Thailand at Siam Golf Club Old Course in Chonburi.
Pagdanganan can still make dramatic inroads up the leaderboard of the $1.7-million meet provided she steadies in the last round and prevent what she did in the third.
The 26-year-old could only shoot down two birdies (seventh and 15th) while bogeying 6, 9 and 18 to fall several rungs with 211 total.
Tavatanakit pulled off a six-under-par 66 for a 16-under 200 and go three strokes clear of second-running Madelene Sagstrom of Sweden who had a 69.
Third place at 204 is crowded with South Korea’s Choi Hye-jin (65), Denmark’s Emily Pedersen (65) and South Korea’s Kim Hyu-joo (69).
Yuka Saso of Japan fired a four-under-par 68 for a 10-under 206, one shot ahead of defending champion Lilia Vu of the United States who hacked out a 67 and Erika Hara of Japan who also shot a 67.
