ONIC Esports on 6 November won the Mobile Legends Professional League Invitational 2022 following an epic reverse sweep of Geek Fam.
Bannered by Filipino star jungler Kairi, ONIC was down 0-2 in the first couple of games, but won three straight games to snatch the championship and the $35,000 grand prize.
“We feel very good. We gave our all because it is the last day of the job,” Kairi said after the match.
Earlier in the day, MPL PH Season 9 champion RSG PH was eliminated by Geek Fam in the semifinals.
RSG’s effort landed them a top 3 to 4 finish in the tournament with a prize of $9,000 or roughly P524,000.
