The Philippine men’s softball team’s woes are far from over.
The Czech Republic yesterday dealt the Blu Boys a 6-1 beatdown — their fifth straight — at the XVII WBSC Men’s Softball World Cup at Rosedale Park in Auckland.
The Czechs’ scoring spree was starred by Marekm Maly, Voltech Buchner, George Harris and Marek Volf as the Europeans stormed to a 4-0 lead.
On top of the third inning, the lead snowballed to 6-0 after Buchner and Harris had two more runs.
Melvin de Castro was the only Filipino who scored but they were unable to come up with something valuable after that brief success.
