Juvic Pagunsan arrested a mid-game collapse by closing with eight straight pars to finish on two-over-par 72 in the Japan PGA Championship at the Grand Fields Country Club in Shizuoka, Japan Sunday.
The 44-year-old Filipino completed 72 holes on 3-under 281 to share 20th spot.
He started strong with two birdies in the first six holes until he four-putted 7 for double bogey and saved bogey on the next hole.
Pagunsan bogeyed the opening hole at the back before righting the ship the rest of the way.
Japanese Mikumu Horikawa closed with a 69 to win by three shots over compatriot Naoyuki Kataoka who sizzled for 65.
Over in the Mandiri Indonesian Open, Miguel Tabuena shot a second straight two-under 70 to finish 72 holes on 6-under at the Pondok Indah golf course in Indonesia.
Tabuena eagled 18 and made two birdies against two bogeys to wind up in a tie for 39th place, 14 shots behind winner Bhullar Gaganjeet of India.
Meanwhile, Dottie Ardina and Abby Arevalo were left stranded on the course following the suspension of play in the weather-hit French Lick Charity Classic at the Pete Dye course in French Lick, Indiana Saturday.
Ardina was cruising to 1-under through 13 holes while Arevalo was stopped on the 12th on 2-over.
Ardina and Arevalo finished 36 holes on 146 and 144, respectively.
Nobody was able to complete the third round with American Gabriella Then on top of the leaderboard on 8-under through 44 holes.
Alone in second was Maddi Caldwell-Young on 5-under also after 44 holes.
Ardina, who started at the back, was spotless with a lone birdie on 18.
On the other hand, Arevalo made three birdies against three bogeys and a double bogey.
