Manila Southwoods underscored its dominance in the recent 72nd Fil-Am Men’s Invitational in Baguio City by taking the first five places in the premier Group 1 individual divisions.

Carl Corpus, who plays for San Jose State University, capped his big performance with a pair of 37 points at the Baguio Country Club to run away with the title with 146 points.

Korean Jeff Jung came in second with 137 with Lanz Uy taking third place with 136.

Shinichi Suzuki, a member of Southwoods’ second team, took fourth with 128 while Gab Manotoc was fifth with 127.

The other individual division winners were
Chris John Remata of E-Sparta, Group 2; Raymond Bunquin of Forest Hills 2, Group 3; George Punasen of Camp John Hay Golf Club Team 1, Group 4; Mars Mudon 3K Rock Engg & Const Corp Team 1, Group 5; Von Vernon Vargas of Alpha Phi Omega Golfers-Team Omega, Group 6; Chaharo Galeng of Bibak NY/NJ/Igolfers Team 2, Group 7; Roy Gayoba of Moto, Group 8; and Francis Calanio of Baguio Olympics, Group 9.
