Tokyo Olympics bronze medalist Eumir Marcial faces Argentine Ricardo Ruben Villalba on 11 February at the Alamodome in San Antonio, Texas.
The southpaw Marcial, unbeaten in three fights with one knockout, runs into somebody who is a veteran of almost 30 fights.
Although Villalba holds a huge advantage in experience, he hasn’t been that lucky in his last three fights, losing all three.
But Marcial, who is hoping to fatten his record in his bid to make inroads in the middleweight class, will have his hands full.
Last time he fought, Marcial had to go six rounds with Steven Pichardo in Carson, California.
Promoted by MP Promotions, Marcial has been training diligently in Las Vegas under Jorge Capetillo.
