Philippine Navy notched its second win at the expense of Air Force, 25-18, 24-26, 25-22, 25-21, to get back on the right track in the Spikers’ Turf Open Conference yesterday at the Paco Arena in Manila.

Greg Dolor caught fire on offense and played clutch in the closing junction of the tightly-contested fourth set to help the Sea Lions arrest a two-game slide.

The Far Eastern University product pounded 22 attacks with two kill blocks including the game-winning denial and an ace to finish with 25 points as Navy improved to a 2-3 win-loss record.

Navy head coach Cecille Cruzada praised her wards for a job well done especially on their defense at the net.

The Sea Lions played solid net defense, scoring nine kill blocks and were able to limit their errors to 18 compared to the Jet Spikers’ 28 miscues.

Christian Marcelino fired 17 points while Marvin Villanueva got 10 points for Navy.

Dolor broke a 16-16 deadlock in the fourth frame with a powerful smash. Three costly errors by Air Force allowed Navy to slip away in a telling run for a 21-17 lead.
