Carlos Yulo is presently loading up on precious points needed to qualify for the 2024 Paris Olympics.
The Filipino gymnast is participating in the first leg of the FIG World Cup in Cottbus, Germany and vying in the men’s floor and rings during the first day of competitions.
He is also slated to strut his stuff in the vault and parallel bars in the hopes of being awarded points that the 23-year-old from Leveriza, Manila, will use to boost his chances of earning a slot to the 2024 Olympics.
From Germany, Yulo will head to Doha for the second leg scheduled 1 to 4 March, the third leg in Baku, Azerbaijan, from 9 to 12 March and the foirth and final leg from 27 to 30 April in Cairo, Egypt.
Apar from these events, Yulo is also competing in the FIG Artistic Gymnastics World Championships in Antwerp, Belgium, this September, forcing him to skip the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China.
