Chua, Takeuchi lead Singapore Day winners

Elmer Chua and Shigeru Takeuchi led the winners in the 57th Singapore National Day golf tournament at the Sta. Elena Golf Club in Cabuyao, Laguna Monday.

Chua fired three-over par 75 to emerge as overall gross champion while Takeuchi shot even par 72 to win the overall net crown.

In Class A, Timothy Yang shot 72 to edge RJ Lista and Raymond Co via countback. Lista took the second spot while Co settled for third.

Gao Che Cher captured Class B with 73, one shot ahead of Mark Lennon and Steven Lee who took second and third, respectively.

In Class C, Lee Kwong Weng carded a 75 to nip Ranzel Ungco and Ambassador Hoang Huy Chung via countback. Ungco and Chung settled for second and third, respectively.

Chloe Yang won the ladies’ division with 75. Monica Law placed second via countback over Sarah Medina.
